Membership Options
There are a range of membership options to suit your situation. For instance, discounts are available if you live some distance away from the club or if you are based overseas. If you are a full member of another gliding club in the UK you can also make the Midland Gliding Club your second home at a discount.
Associate Membership
Most members of the club start as Associate Members.
If you are under eighteen years of age, have enjoyed an experience flight, and are starting your gliding journey, or coming on a course, or you pay your British Gliding Association membership fee at another Club, this is the type of membership for you.
You do not have a share and vote in running our Club.
Full Membership
If you are over the age of eighteen and the Mynd is your primary gliding club, this is the type of membership for you. We try and make this affordable as possible by reflecting the time you travel to the club in the membership fee with local, regional, national and overseas bands. We also offer reduced rates for people between the age of eighteen and under the age of twenty-six. As your primary gliding Club, we pay your annual British Gliding Association membership fee. You also have a share and vote in running our Club.
Introductory Membership
If you want to try out membership for a year you have two choices: come on an Introductory course where you have the option to join for a year (at a discounted price) or take our Introductory Membership. Click the button below to see more
