Midland Gliding Club is one of the UK’s premier gliding sites and has been operating from the Long Mynd since the early 1930s. We are open seven days each week between April and September and on ad hoc flyable days for the rest of the year.
We are looking for self motivated, pro-active team players willing to adopt flexible hours to suit the club’s operations. Training offered if required.
Pro Course Instructor Wanted for 2023
We are a winch only site. However, the local topography requires an additional skill set and an understanding of hilltop sites.
We are seeking a second professional instructor to support our seven day a week operation, for the next course season (mid April to late September 2023). This role does not require weekend working. Following a successful first season, a longer term relationship with the right candidate may be possible.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, safety conscious and disciplined team player. You should be at least a BGA Assistant Category Instructor, or equivalent and have a Class 2 Medical. You should also have experience of winch launch instructing, preferably from a hill site, though this is not essential.
You are not required to live on site but accommodation or a caravan space is available. The pay and benefits package is competitive. We will consider part time or part of the season for the right candidates.
Further discussion is welcome and initial expressions of interest should be made by phone to our Chief Flying Instructor: William Brewis on 07815 053033 or email to email@example.com
If you are to be considered we will follow up with a more detailed job description and terms of employment and ask for a detailed CV of your gliding experience.
Midland Gliding Club is seeking to employ regular cleaner/housekeepers to maintain the club house, bar and sleeping accommodation.
Duties and hours to be mutually agreed, with competitive rates of pay. Job sharing is welcomed. Register your interest by email to:
