Hi everyone,  this is the regular Thursday posting to let you know what is coming up in the near future

This week

Winter Lecture Mike Groves

Those who attended the talk by Mike Groves on Saturday, despite the poor weather had a massive treat.  He talked about the Bond film with pictures showing how it was set up, how they positioned the winch i.e. with cranes, the amount of practice runs with video and then how it looked on the film. Everyone said that they thoroughly enjoyed it Mike continued over the dinner giving more information as people asked.

Discus Sale

I am delighted to say that we have sold the Discus to Walter Baumann.  Walter has been a very keen Discus pilot, he has taken it to competitions.  The CFI has his eye on a more suitable single seater aircraft for us and undoubtedly will share more on Saturday

Your team this weekend is:

Saturday:  Clive Crocker, Allan Reynolds, Simon Adlard, Laurent Couval

Sunday:  Mike Witton, Nigel Lassetter, Simon Adlard, Dave d’Arcy

Christmas meal and awards evening

Please put the 15th of December in your diary.  You should have had an email from Fay asking you to choose and book.  There is a limit on the numbers so I encourage you to book quickly before all the turkey goes.

Members evening 24th of November

You should have received a separate email inviting you to a members evening on the 24th of November. This is a substantial update and if you haven’t  then please contact me directly on the email address below. I realise that the notice was relatively short and I apologise for this but do try to attend if you can.
